I specialize in working with patients to help them cope with medical challenges.
Your brain does so much more than put thoughts in your head. It’s my job to help you understand and address the relationship between it and the rest of your body so you can be the best version of you. I also bring my 10+ years of working with healthcare providers of all shapes and sizes to our work, allowing me to understand your conditions in a more nuanced way than the average psychologist. In that way, I can provide you strategies that fit your life and your body.
In addition to our treatment, I focus on collaborating with other medical professionals actively to ensure that their and my care is synchronized to deliver the best outcomes possible for you.
I’m also an expert in providing care to healthcare professionals of all shapes and sizes.
I am a clinical psychologist who uniquely understands the culture of medicine and the rigors of medical care: I train resident physicians and have worked in academic medical centers, private hospital systems, and VA hospitals. I bring that knowledge of the medical system to lessen the weight on you. You deserve to have your therapist understand your lived experience without having to explain nuance endlessly. I use this knowledge to effectively personalize treatment to meet the demands that a healthcare role places on you.
I’m a leader in treating anxiety disorders, trauma, and obsessive-compulsive disorders.
Having received dedicated specialist training in each of these issues, I provide expert, evidence-based care for each of these challenges. I deploy first-line approaches to address these issues, including prolonged exposure, cognitive processing therapy, exposure and response prevention, and other exposure-based treatments, and bring more than a decade of experience treating these challenges to your treatment.
I am, above and beyond everything else, a generalist.
Having worked in a primary care offices means that I’ve seen patients of all shapes and sizes with incredibly diverse needs. I am passionate about delivering science supported, evidence-based care for a broad spectrum of psychological challenges. My guiding principle is to eventually make myself obsolete so you can tackle difficult situations on your own.

Outside of my professional life I’m an avid cook and foodie. I’m also a lover of all things board games and would love nothing more than to spend hours pouring over where to move my meeple so I can score just one more point. I’m also never far away from my old English major roots and can’t get enough of narrative artforms in all shapes and sizes (books, movies, TV shows, videogames, you name it). I also love to travel, hike, and see as much of the world as possible. I’m also the dad to two young kiddos who are my absolute joys and constantly ask me to get up as soon as I sat down.
